Overview

Hawaiian Heroes, Book 2—Daniel Ho’omalu is painfully aware that his intimidating appearance frightens most women even before they get close enough to discover he likes to play rough. Pile on his perilous vocation as one of a secret society of island guardians, and he’s sure he’ll never find a mate. One look at Daniel, and Claire has found the man of her sensual dreams. Without hesitation she sinks her teeth into the challenge of landing the big Hawaiian in her bed. But while he clearly wants her, he won’t bite back. Daniel is certain she’s too young and innocent to handle his dark sexual needs. Yet the island casts its spell, and in one explosive night, Daniel learns that she’s more than a match for him in every way. When Daniel must leave her side and dive to the depths of the sea to foil a gang of drug smugglers, Claire trusts that their powerful bond will bring her lover back safely to her arms. But his vow of honor to protect his people could be the one thing that breaks her heart.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
“Cathryn Cade has taken the lush scenery of Hawaii and embellished it with a new twist on the legend of Pele. Readers will root for Melia while wishing for a hero like Malu.”
—RT Book Reviews on Walking in Fire

“Cade shows respect for the legends that surround the Kilauea Volcano. Cade has created a very sensual tale in a current setting, with paranormal undertones. Her fans will not be disappointed.”
—Library Journal on Walking in Fire

”An engrossing story that will have you turning the pages quickly. I adored the characters and the plot. I highly recommend Rolling in the Deep if you are looking for a romantic Hawaiian story.”
—Sizzling Hot Book Reviews

It was supposed to be a simple photo shoot. Bella had a couple of hot models, a buxom makeup artist, and Joel, the aggravating star of his own adventure show. She didn't count on troubles with the photographer, or finding Joel so frustrating, much less starting to feel as if the island was trying to tell her something. VERDICT The plot of this latest from Cade has more twists and turns than a jungle vine…but overall it's worth the trip. The tropical locale, zippy plotting, and floral creativity really warm up a cold winter's day. [Xpress Reviews, 1/11/13.]—Emily Thompson, SUNY at Oswego Lib.
