Editorial Reviews

Donna Brown
I was pleased to see that the book started just weeks after the first had finished and sure enough Kristin was back to being a gritty, no-nonsense cop, as independent as ever despite the events of the first book. In Blue Blood for Life, however, Stacy Eaton takes a brave step by introducing some new - and very significant - characters.

I think fans of the Anita Blake series, would kill for this book. I think any fan of a good PNR with some serious crime drama thrown in would love this book. I loved this book, but I really, really need to see more of Julian. Good job Ms. Eaton and well done.
Tim O'Rourke
The thing I like about Eaton's writing is that the settings are so believeable. There is not a detail missing and the police settings are most believeable and researched so well I almost felt that I was riding shot-gun with Kristen and Trent.

Wow! *takes a deep breath*
I had the pleasure of reading this early, and it really was just that--a pleasure!
I thought the first book of this series took us on a ride, but that was nothing compared to this one. So many intricate twists and turns that left me guessing right up until the very end!
Tatiana Lammers
I am so looking forward to the next book and what twists, turns and surprises it would bring. I hope the series will be big – after all the vampires are immortal and so many stories could be told about them. And, the way Stacy Eaton writes her stories, makes you want to read more and more.

Half-vampire Kristin learned of her identity in My Blood Runs Bl

Half-vampire Kristin learned of her identity in My Blood Runs Blue, first of Stacy Eaton’s vampire romantic series. In this sequel she’s beginning to enjoy that added edge her new skills bring to her police career—imagine being able to hear the villain before he breaks into the house, give chase faster than mere mortals can run, or genuinely catch the scent of prey.

Lots of backstory brings new readers up to date with the previous book, but the salient details are easy to grasp and the tale soon starts to move forwards. Kristin’s oddly unwilling to complete her vampiric change, despite her love for Alex. And the usual misunderstandings abound.

Danger looms in both Kristin’s and Alex’s jobs and soon the feisty female is struggling to convince the male characters that she really can look after herself. There’s a wonderful scene where Kristin finally reveals herself to selected friends. Meanwhile some sensuous couplings are enhanced by vampire sexuality.

The story switches viewpoints between characters, repeating scenes with added details to give an interesting flavor of mystery. Seeing behind the scenes of misunderstandings adds intrigue. And the final revelations satisfyingly resolve the various points of tension.

The characters are fun, Kristin’s a great example of a strong female protagonist, and the vampire lore is nicely done, pleasingly different without breaking too many rules. The story’s slowed by backstory and repetition of course, but the well-rounded chapters and scenes make it ideal for a summer read where you’re going to keep picking it up and putting it down.

This book is amazing! The first was great, but the second one is even better!

The writing style is exquisite, and how Ms. Eaton can bring four different points of view, all in first person, in play is simply brilliant.

What I loved about this book is that it threw out all of my expectations of what I believed was going to happen. I was thrown for loops that I didn't see coming, and I LOVE that. If you read the first book, you can't miss reading the second one.

I can't wait to read more of Ms. Eaton's books!

"Blue Blood Forever" is the second in a series written by Stacy Eaton. This story is a pulse-pounding and exciting story that keeps the adrenalin pumping. I will be honest with you. I never would have thought that I would like a story about vampires, or the police, for that matter. However, I found the characters in this book to be riveting four dimensional characters whom you route for. The vampires portrayed in this book are not your everyday vampires but rather vampires who choose to use their super human-like characteristics to help humanity instead of to hurt them. Even though these characters are forced to face some difficult odds, and even death, they seem to meet the mark and rise to the occasion in ways that are surprising and original. This book is a page turner and a fast read. The main character Kristen, who is half human and half vampire, displays the type of charm we wish all human beings had.

This book could use a bit of editing, but it is still very good and I would highly recommend it. It is pure entertainment at its best, a real roller coaster ride of a story.
