## I couldn't stand the hero which completely ruined the story for me. First of all, as always I hate when authors feel the need to write their heroes as man-sluts. "He could have a different woman every night for an entire year and not repeat." Seriously? And that's supposed to endear him to the reader? And he hated the ranch and all the people until the last chapter. Wanting to leave so bad. Every day. Ugh. I wish she would've ended up with Tucker. Now there's a guy I can get on board with.

This was a really good book about Jake leaving town to escape the publicity of a rescue that didn't go as planned.  Jake goes to the Blue Fame ranch and sees Callie who is running the ranch for him.  The sparks ignite between these two, but strange things start happening after Jake shows up.  Jake also has to try to mend fences with his half-brother.  This is another great Jill Shalvis book and I can't wait to read more in this series.

A large grey tom stalked in, fur rippling in weird way. A white pattern laced his pelt, making it look like he had cracks aling his body. Ice blue eyes sharp, he gazed around curiously.

{O-o W, did you perhaps Roleplay Misty-Something- in ThunderClan back then?} &squares CrackleFlame bounded in, his red-oak coloured pelt twisting against the tugging winds. "Hey Guys!" He announced energetically. &square

Poppy hissed as she trod on a thorn. "Having trouble?" An amused voice asked behind her. "Silver! Have you been following me?" Poppy growled accussingly. "O-of course not," Silver stammered innocently. "Stop lying," Poppy rolled her eyes. "Where are you going?" "I don't know. Looking for a home, I guess," "Want help?" "I don't want to join your group! I don't care that you fell apart soon after you lost your great leader, Fire something." Poppy hissed. "It's Firestar, and we could use members. I believe you're a descendant of one of the cats of the old Thunderclan. You look like what I've heard described of Ferncloud." The tom replied. "You think I care? And I assume you're descended from your great leader, Fire, uh, star," Poppy spat in response. "Actually, yes, my mother's father's father's father is Firestar. And if you won't join, fine, we'll find cats who actually care." Silver stalked off into the trees. "I never want to see that mouse brain again," Poppy muttered. "I heard that," Silver called. Poppy traveled across the moor until dusk. She found a dip in the ground. It was spacious, but not well protected. 'I prefer the forest,' she thought as she dristed into sleep. (Like it?
