Thank you, Pat Cameron, for this book. We recently spent 15 days on the island of Crete and used this book as our tour guide. If you want to experience the island and its people, I greatly recommend this book. It gives details about seemingly every square foot of the island. It is excellent for driving tours to explore not only its major cities and major tourist attractions, but each and every mountain village, of which there are hundreds it seems, and each and every site you encounter is brought to life by this author. It also gives you all of the details on how to get around by bus or taxi and places to stay and places to eat. You could easily spend a month on the island and not see all of the areas described in this guide. It also includes a large amount of historical info. The book truly made this one of our best trips ever. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
