    Highly Recommended

Blue Heaven The Waters Above The Earth is a book that definitely needs to be in your children's collection of books! The illustrations alone has captured the attention of my grandchildren. The story written in rhyme, in my opinion, keeps the interest of the children, as well as the beautiful illustrations.I loved the way the author compared Jesus with the moon as our light in times of darkness, and the angels as the stars, which gave me a feeling of security. This book is such a colorful way of teaching children (of all ages) who God is, and how they can feel secure in praying to Him for struggles they may have in life. They can see this from a child's point of view as the character shows how God can make good from a bad situation. They can also experience another culture, knowing that God is everywhere helping us all.

Refreshing!- A global message of hope from a kids perspective

This book, will raise your awareness of enormous challenges that children all over the world face every day in the face of conflict, devastation and separation from loved ones. Kondwani is an "every-kid" who begins to question the purpose of human suffering and loss in the midst of his own personal disaster. His emotional connection to his father, a fighter pilot, is expressed through a cherished model airplane Kondwani is given before his dad departs for duty. The keepsake along with memories of his loving family become the "normal" that comforts him as he makes his way through the carnage of his devastated neighborhood in search of familiar faces and safety. The peaceful beauty of the landscape and majesty of the sky remain constant to Kondwani, even as he is witness to the human drama being played out below. Drawing strength from his father's words, he finds courage to face the unknown, headlong, as his father the pilot does, taking flight on the wings of his imagination. Soaring high above the conflict all around, a grand vista of hope and possibility is revealed to him that provides empowering insights to both Kondwani and the reader alike. I think the book provides an excellent platform for parents to empower kids by discussing things like overcoming fear and why bad things happen in the world. We all can help children here and around the world as they experience real life disaster situations like Kondwani.

    Delightful

The book is definitely one for parents wishing to encourage their children to look beyond the challenging circumstances that occur in life. The book also is a great tool for teaching children and reminding adults that there is someone beyond our immediate sight that ultimately has influence in our world. The pictures are beautiful and the story touches the heart. I enjoyed reading it. Thank you Mr. Lawrence. Retne

    What a Wonderful Book

I really enjoyed the story which is based upon plights of children in war torn countries as well as their abilities to rely upon the Lord to see them through. Further, we have evidence as a caring nation that we have taken some of these children and their families in as new immigrants!!!

The illustrations are beautiful and well executed and children will enjoy them as well as the message that God is always available to help children and their families during difficult and pleasant times as He does for mankind when they follow Him(smile. Schools, Doctor offices, libraries, and other public and private facilities in all countries should buy the book and make it available.(smile)
