But with the passing of time, the innocents begin to experience strange emotions and discover a new dimension to their relationship.
H. De Vere Stacpoole's popular 1908 romance inspired two sequels as well as four movie versions. His lyrical descriptions of the restless sea, the enchanting desert island, and the charming young lovers are complemented by captivating images envisioned by a master from the Golden Age of Illustration, Willy Pogány.

    Advanced High School Reader

I absolutely love this novel. Its about two shipwrecked cousins who are very young and they grow up on a deserted island together. But when they become teenagers they become attracted to each other sexually and concieve a child. When a ship finally sails near them they dont try to stop it because they have fallen in love with each other and know thier love will be frowned upon in society. One of my all time favorites!!

    I Also Recommend:

    Magical and Pristine

This story is truly magical, in all its innocence, purity, and honesty. It should be read in conjunction with watching the 1980 movie The Blue Lagoon - both complement the other perfectly. Henry De Vere Stacpoole describes the story in poetic, melodic rhythm, soothing like an ocean breeze. At times riveting, like when Dick and Emmeline face their savage demon, but also gentle, like when they discover the truth of the balance of life and death. They explore the boundaries of civilization and contemplate the foundation of spirituality. With some of the fierceness of "Lord of the Flies" but the smooth, dreamy lolling of "Clair de Lune," The Blue Lagoon revives the adventurous and creative child within.

    Lagoonbreeze's Quest &starf Chapter 6

Courgaewind's eyes widened. "Me? No! I never would kill-" Lagoonbreeze pounced, his claws unsheathed. "You murdered my father;I murder you." His claws ripped into the victim's throat. Blood puddled the ground. Couragewind's painful screech filled the air. "I didn't do it! I promise-" His voice was cut off by a sickening crunch. Lagoonbreeze's paw slammed to his throat. "You. Killed. My. Father. And. There's. No. Excuse!" He kicked Couragewind's body into the river. "Teach you a lesson!" He growled. He set off back home with a heavy heart.
<p>"Lagoonbreeze? What happened?" Oraclestar asked as he trudged into camp. "Couragewind killed Powerheart and threw him in the river." Lagoonbreeze looked at his blood-stained paws. Oraclestar looked at them, too. "You killed Couragewind?" "I had to! He killed Powerheart!" "Hm. So I see. I must anounce Powerheart's death to the Clan." She padded off. "Clan! My deputy will now be Sunbreak!" A bright orange tom stood up. "I appreciate it!" He purred. Oraclestar sighed. "And I have tragic news . . ." The clearing grew still and silent. Even the animals were quiet as if they, too, were listening for the horrible anouncement.

To the person who question was i this book grapic

Well i dont think so but the movie sure is .... in the movie the boy and the girl have sex after fighting with each other but not the kind of sex yu see in tv in where they jump each other. No there they just kiss each other.and then they boy starts kissing the girls body and then ends on her boobies. After they are done they sleep wirh each other all naked then the girl becomes pregant and has a boy so watch the movie instead of reading the story. :)
