    Blue Moon

Blue Moon is a great in between novels. J.R. Rain knows how to leave you wanting more. Samantha meeting the blond guy...who is he? Where does she know him from? There must be a clue in there for Moon River.

I know who was at Starbucks

Sam was totally having coffee with J.R. Rain himself. I googled him and saw his Facebook profile pic and it matches the description in the story. Plus, he is a murder mystery author who writes under a pen name but won't tell her.... duh he had coffee with one of his characters

The Rise of EclipseClan- REWRITREN- Prologue, Part 2

"Bite this when you feel a pain in your stomach," Glasseye ordered the aching queen, hoping she could understand, or even hear, him. "Try to lick as much as the paste off as possible."
Midnightflower obliged, chomping down on the stick, her pink tongue teasing some of the paste off of the wooden rod. With a yowl, a small, brown kit slipped out, followed by a shockingly large pool of blood. Glasseye ripped the sac off, before licking the kit's nose and mouth. "Get me more tansy and juniper!" The medicine cat ordered, nudging the motionless kit towards his mother's stomach. Clawstar nodded, speeding back to the medicine cat den. Midnightflower once again screamed, and a white kit with a golden spot on it's chest entered the world.
Glasseye gave a small sigh of relief as he nudged the tiny kit towards its source of warmth and food. //Two more… two more…//
Clawstar ran back in with the two herbs, and Glasseye promptly took them from the brown leader, chewing them into a paste and rubbing it on the queen's lips. "Two more to go, Clawstar." The large cat gave a rumble of acknowledgement.
Almost spontaneously, an orange tabby kitten slipped out, follwed by a tiny, black and white kit, almost the exact mirror of her mother. Both were coated in blood. Glasseye licked them both, and showed the black she-kit to Clawstar. "This one's the runt," he explained. "Take extra good care of her." He didn't say anything about the limp, orange kit, his heart beatng for the grave moment for when his leader would mention it.
The brown tabby tom growled. "What about Midnightflower!?"
    "I-I-I am… f-f-fine…"
Clawstar instantly turned to his mate, and gave a small whimper. "You are fine?"
"Yes… and so are my kits." She smiled at her limp, damp kits, attempting to suckle. Quickly, her face turned to confusion amd terror. "Wh-what about this one?" She breathed, weakly nudging the orange kitten.
Glasseye breathed in sharply, before shuddering in defeat. "That one… didn't make it."
"WHAT?!" Clawstar screeched, while Midnightflower mewled in defeat.
Glasseye became more defiant. "The orange one didn't make it… and…" he quickly collasped to his weak self again, "Midnightflower won't either."
Clawstar instantly bowled the smaller cat over, his silver fangs blatantly showing. "You disgusting vermin! I told you she would HAVE to survive!" The brown tom's victim thrashed helplessly, his fur and flesh getting torn by his leader's claws.
"Clawstar." The whisper was barely heard. Midnightflower's blue eyes were closing, and her breath came in shallow gasps.
"Midnightflower!" The tom instantly forgot Glasseye as he sped towards his dying mate.
The queen smiled weakly, before looking at her kits. "This one," she gasped, gesturing towards the brown tabby, "will be Wolfkit." She paused for breath. "T-this one… will be… Whitekit…" she nodded towards the white she-cat. "And this one?…" she looked towards the black runt. "This one will… be…" The queen gasped, her blood still leaking out. "I… l-love… you… Clawstar…"

Blue moon was very enjoyable. Even though it was short, these short stories keep me sated until the next book comes out. It was a very cute story that made me smile. A very different take on a short story. The other stories were good reads as well. I loved Vampire vs Bigfoot. Very different take on anything like this. The Bull was also very creative. I definetly recomend it. If you havent read the Samantha Moon series, pick it up. You won't regret it.

    Disappointed

Very short Samantha Moon Story. It wasn't the length of a chapter. I don't appreciate being charged $2.99 to get suckered into purchasing short story that I might not have bought on its own. This may prevent me from buying anything else from this author.
