Meet the Author

Jerry D. Greer is a managing partner of Mountain Trail Press. His work has been published in advertising campaigns for Backpacker magazine, BlueRidge Country, L. L. Bean, the Lyndhurst Foundation, Mountain Bike magazine, Royal Robbins, and WildSouth. He is the author of Blue Ridge Mountains, Blue Ridge Parkway Wonder and Light, and North Carolina Wonder and Light and the photographer of the Blue Ridge Mountains 2010 Scenic Wall Calendar. He lives in Johnson City, Tennessee. Charles W. Maynard was the first Executive Director of the Friends of the Smoky Mountains National Park and later served as the Director of Advancement for the International Storytelling Center. Charles has traveled extensively with his wife, Janice, and their two daughters, Caroline and Anna. Nye is a writer and photographer living in Knoxville, Tennessee.He is the author of Tennessee Wonder and Light, Great Smoky Mountains Wonder and Light and Best of the Blue Ridge Parkway. He was a contributing writer and photographer for the Ultimate Guide to Digital Nature Photography.
