a classic romance with country style

There's a reason Barbara McMahon is a bestselling author: she never disappoints. This is a classic story about a man and a woman who go through all the travails real people do in finding love, but they do so in the end despite it all, which is why it's so heartwarming and wonderful! Throw in a little country-music flavor and you've got a book you'll really enjoy ...

    Highly recommended

Really a sweet story about a country singer looking for a break from the ratrace of concerts and trying to hide who she is so people will accept her for herself. And then when the rancher next door shows up, he figures her all wrong and the fun begins. I loved seeing how Mac reacted to a woman he thought was all wrong for him, and falling in love was so fun to see. I liked the characters in the town, too. Good book, you will want to read it all at one sitting, too good to put down.

1st half good, 2nd half bad

    ## I don't get it. The first half of this book was great. The female lead was really likable, the story good. Then, BAM, they are in love and planning marriage. I felt that maybe i missed a couple of chapters. So out of the blue, there was no transition from dislike to love. Anyway, i didn't enjoy the second half of the book.

I Put this book on the last of my reviews and then finally had to read it. Well! It is great and worth all the leisure time. Insite into the lives of famous, peace they crave, love and romance. Sit back, read and escape into their world with your favorite drink.

    more from this reviewer

    Love cowboy books

The was a lot of fun to read. The hero is a rancher/cowboy and the heroine a country-western singer who is trying to hide who she is to get away from the hype. Loved the interaction between the two of them. Sometimes it got really hot! Great ending.
