Bluegrass Gospel Power Picks: 25 Traditional Classics

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide
Established in 1955 just as bluegrass was defining itself as a new American music, Rural Rhythm Records has an incredible back catalog of some 4,000 masters by some of the best players ever to work in the genre, and the label was there almost at the ground floor of all of it. Although the label has recently begun to record new artists, a large share of its releases are compilations that sift through that massive library, and this set, which collects 25 original gospel bluegrass pieces from over the decades, is well within that successful template.
