This poignant, autobiographical collection makes hard stories sweeter by threading ranchera, cumbia, and norteño through roots rock, R&B, doo wop, and polished indie pop, without sacrificing substance for flash. Collaborations include the cumbia-ska fusion in "No Se" with Panteón Rococó, "Lamentablamente" features Pepe Aguilar, the cumbia/mariachi/ country fusion of "The One" with Kane Brown, and the polished, bilingual "It Was Always You" with Leon Bridges, and "Aviso Importante" with Bolela.
