Overview

Genre: BDSM & Fetish, Contemporary

Series: Rod and Cane Society; Previous Book: False Pretenses

Feminist Stephanie Gordon knows the instant she meets blind date Mark DeLuca it’s going to be a wasted evening. Sure the deputy chief of police is criminally sexy, but he's arrogant, domineering and sexist. Thank goodness after the date ends, she'll never have to see him again. A member of the Rod and Cane Society, an organization of men who discipline their women by spanking, Mark DeLuca is attracted to Stephanie like a paddle to a well-rounded ass. He sees beneath the shield of feminist militancy to the soft, sensitive woman she tries to hide. When she storms away in a snit, the chase is on. Can a man who spanks convince a diehard feminist her true strength lies in submission?

I was very excited for this book to come out. I have been a long believer that feminism & spanking relationships are not mutually exclusive. I was looking forward to seeing how author, Cara Bristol, handled this hot topic. What I got was a story that I fully enjoyed. Stephanie discovers that sometimes we all have pre-conceived ideas and sometimes being a feminist is really about being true to yourself. Hot issues, hot spankings, & hot romance!

I loved this book! It is Book 3 of the Rod and Cane Society series, but it is fine as a stand alone...and I am now reading another in the series. Sexy and thought provoking. A feminist and a dominating man? Really?
