She and Will have been trying to find a solution, looking for a two-for-one miracle that would free Alona and keep Lily alive. Visits to local psychics have proven useless, but then they stumble across Malachi the Magnificent, who seems to be different. His office is full of ghosts, for one thing. But Malachi doesn't seem to hear or see them, which is odd. Plus, he bolts the moment he sees Will. To make things even weirder, Misty Evans, Alona's former best friend, is waiting in Malachi's lobby and claiming that she's being haunted. By Alona.
Will's convinced that Malachi has answers, while Alona is all kinds of pissed that someone's impersonating her. But their efforts to uncover the truth will bring them much unwanted attention and put them directly in the path of a ghost who will stop at nothing for another stab at life. Even if it means destroying Alona.
When Alona finds herself trapped inside Lily Turner she doesn't know what to think: Happy for being able to have a body, to feel things through fingers that are actually not hers, to eat using a mouth that is not hers... And OMG why on earth did she have to end up inside this body?! There is no justice, let me tell you.
Not only was Lily's body in no shape but also she had been Will's crush once. Not very long ago, actually. And she knew that every time he looked at her Will could only see her body. But she wasn't Lily nor was she willing to become her in order to keep her family happy.
And don't get me wrong here, she did care for Lily's family. In some sort of way she envied her for having such a loving family while hers had been broken for a long time. That's why she decided to become Ally (a mix of Alona and Lily) to try to make everyone happy until she could get out of there.
But when her ex-bestfriend, Misty (not knowing who is inside Ally's body) tells her that Alona' spirit is haunting her she is just too shocked to talk. Who the heck is pretending to be her?!
It's time for Will and Alona to resolve another mystery, to find the answers they are seeking and try to figure out a way to be together despite the fact that she is dead and he is not.
Personal opinion:
Finally the last book of The Ghost and the Goth series is here and I couldn't be... Well, I'm not sure. Mixed feelings again.
I did like the book and how Stacey developed the whole plot answering all the last questions, tying all the knots and creating a last problem for Alona and Will to resolve.
My husband was tired of seeing me with this big O in my face or saying things like "OMG... no, this can't be happening" or "Please, please..." the whole time, but what can I say? I was caught up and glad to be there.
Then again we are talking about the last book, you know? Which means there's no going back, no more Will with his compelling darkness, no more Alona with that cruel sincerity of hers.
Talking about that, I have to say that so far Alona is the one and only bad girl I like. She is an idiot, she just doesn't undertand that above looks people have feelings but in the end she shows some... well, some sort of love for the people she cares about. There's a good heart inside her, it doesn't matter how much she tries to hide it, you will be able to see it become bigger and bigger with each book.
And Will... well, he's completely different from her (which is very obvious). Maybe not the kind of guy I would fall for but then again, he has something that makes him special. His loyalty is maybe one of the things I like most. And then the fact that he cares for everybody.
I like it when they fight during days, barely speak to each other or acknowledge the presence of the other in the same room and then, say trouble out loud and despite their differences they just forget everything and fight together. It's actually very funny (and sweet too, yes).

And are told that there being haunted by Alona. But how could it be her if she's with Will? Thus Will and Alona try to find what's going on. These books are pretty good. Throughout there were annoying moments, cute moments and some sad moments.. Recommend the books.

Back again in the final book of the Ghost and Goth series, Alona and Will continue their sometimes flirty, sometimes harsh verbal jabs. Because Alona is ensconced in Lily’s body, she is forced to take time to look at family relationships and think a bit more about her actions. Yes, she can be a Mean Girl but her transformation into someone not thinking only about herself becomes clear in this story. Will has to figure a lot of things out on his own because his Spirit Guide, Alona, is not available to help him; poor boy just does stupid things but does come around in the end. A solid ending to the series.

I've come to care about these characters and I want a happy ending for them.
I am impressed with the amount of character growth Alona has had throughout this series. It's really a shame that her death is what caused this. I actually felt sorry for her this book. She's not very good at articulating how she really feels. And Will is very bad at interpreting what she really means. So, they spend quite a bit of this book arguing and misunderstanding each other. Which is unfortunate because since the story is told from both points of views, we know how they really feel.
Alona is trying hard to be someone she's not. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to impersonate someone whose characteristics are so far from your own. For once, Alona has no confidence in who she is. She's uncomfortable in her own skin. And she's not ungrateful for the chance she's been given. She knows exactly how lucky she is to be alive. She just doesn't know how to by the Lily everybody wants her to be. And she especially hates the fact that she feels like Will wishes it was the real Lily.
Will kind of drove me a little crazy. He seemed to always take what Alona was saying and twist it around to something else. He never gave her the chance to just be herself. He was constantly tell her that it wasn't how Lily would do it. Well of course it's not, Alona isn't Lilly. He didn't give her half the chance. I was happy to see him finally come to that understanding in the end.
The ghost in question in this story was the only downfall. I think she was toned down a lot. She's just didn't strike the fear in mean that she should have. She will stop and nothing to have another chance at life, but yet she doesn't really come across that way. I actually found the story her life much more interesting. How it related to Malachi the Magnificent was one of the better parts to her story.
I was happy with the ending. It was what I was hoping for given the circumstances. I think it will work out in the long run. Although, I do admit that I'm curious about the long term ramifications of it.

This book had a sweet ending. This was my favorite part of the series. Honestly this is a great series. Its really a different werid and creative series. I love how Alona looked because im exactly build liked her and a lot like her exepct i have true friends and no boy would ever treat me like Ben Rogers does! Remeber him fans of this series? I wish somehow at the end of the series she ended up back to blonde Alona.... opps told too much! Must read series and i love the connection between Alona and Wil!

I love the first two books and I decided to reread them and I found out there is a third one out and its not even the final!!! Im sooo stoked!! I love this series Alona and Will are amazing!

The book lost me in a few places,mostly because i thinkthat SP had forgotten somethings from the other booksm like how alona didnt want to go into the light, but she wanted to stay with will. But this book is good. d(-_^) THUMBS UP!
