Battle of the Secrets! This author slowly weaves a story so strong, it is like you have become a participant. Starting with a basic triangle love story, the novel gets even more depth as it unfolds with Lucas. I can not pick one character I love more. Lucas gave up something very precious for Care, but was it worth it? Carrie, with the pull between two men, has severe trama and tied Mike to them forever. Can he really defeat Carver? As my heart swelling with pride and the anticipation of battle, I was confident they could pull it off. But can they? Who will Carrie ultimately chose? Or will the events repeat themselves? I was totally immersed with this novel and would love to read any others written. I would love to sit and listen to her weave fairy tales every day.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author D.Nichole King. This is book 2 of A Spirit Trilogy series by the author.

Carrie and Lucas survived the summer but evil is still lingering in the shadows. Carrie loves Lucas no matter what and she hopes that together they can find what Lucas needs. When Lucas starts searching for answers he tries to keep Carrie safe and away from danger but evil has a way of coming for Carrie no matter what.

The author wrote such compelling  characters in this book and their interaction with each other was great. The story flow was smooth as silk and such a pleasure to read.

This is for any paranormal romance book lover who likes a little suspense thrown into the pages. This is book 2 of the series so this book starts where book 1 leaves off so it is best to read the books in order.

THIS! Is what a paranormal young adult novel should be like. Why

THIS! Is what a paranormal young adult novel should be like. Why don’t people do this more often? Book bloggers have already said it, and I couldn’t agree more: The Body is an absolutely sterling example of what this genre is all about. Which makes one wonder: why is it so hard to do?
Well, for an author to reach D Nichole King’s standard in this novel, they have to:
    - keep the reader on her absolute tippy-toes with suspense the entire time.
    - provide a secret, amazing, supernatural plan that makes all sorts of sense to the reader and is just fantastic for us to learn about as we read on.
    - despite the first points, keep it down to earth by leaving the main characters of the story human. And not just stick-figure human, but deep, real-people human, so that we relate on an instinctual level.
And now, to the embarrassing swooning: AHHHHH!!! Lucas! Damn me if there were ever a bigger babe of a ghost. (Sorry, belated spoiler alert.) I want to be a teenager again who’s being singled out by the hottest supernatural being ever.
D Nichole: time to pass on the last in the trilogy. I am DYING for it.

The rating I would give this book would be 3 out of 5. The reaso

The rating I would give this book would be 3 out of 5. The reason why is because I really enjoyed the book but, since I am from a different era a lot of his older stories where a bit confusing for me. I would recommend this book to someone who is a bit older than I am. What I did enjoy about the book was the writing; it made me feel as if I was among them on their journey. Also I think the characters personalities were on point I feel like I really know them and because of that I often would find myself smiling.

    Enjoyable, and Worthwhile

I read this book for a school project. I believed it was going to be boring and annoying to read but I will never underestimate Steven King ever again. The detail is amazing! There are many thrilling parts and I'm trully enjoyed reading it. I recommend it for everyone, and any other book Steven King has written because he is amazing!

    A great book

I saw the movie Stand by Me before I read the book and I loved the movie. The book is alot better because it is really detailed. If you've seen the movie but haven't read the book I recommend you do because the book has alot more parts to it and is alot different.

the movie was good, the book was better

I did a paper on this book with the movie in my English class. I like it because of the transition the 'author' went through from childhood to adulthood. Reading it made me realize just how petty the things that I once thought were deathly important but weren't. It didn't change my life, mind you, but it did strike a cord. If it wasn't for the bit of adult content and cursing I would love to recommend 'The Body' to all high schools.
