Meet the Author

Patsy was put in an Orphanage at 4 years old. It was a very dark place to be. A place filled with hurt and confusion no child should ever have to face. A place where even the strongest could get lost forever. But, all was not lost in Patsy’s young life. Out of the darkness came a very bright light. A light that still shines in her life today. That light was Sister Bernadette. A kind and loving Nun at the Orphanage. Patsy watched Sister Bernadette nurse sick and injured animals back to life in her tiny office surrounded by trees. She helped wrap the bandages around the little bird’s wings as they sat so quietly in the Sister’s lap. It was then that Patsy began to feel a feeling she had never known before, “Love”. A love so strong she carried it with her all through her life. The same love that comes through in every book she writes. Patsy is living in British Columbia, Canada with her pets. She spends her time taking care of them and visiting with her grandchildren. You can usually find her walking where there are a lot of trees and water, with her rubber boots and baseball hat on, spending time with the animals in nature. This is what brings Patsy so much joy and happiness. She loves to write, and watch her grandchildren’s faces light up when they open her books.
