This series is a must read for all young horse lovers!

I love this series of books! These books not only teach readers information on handling horses, they also help readers discover truths about God's nature. They are easy to read and keep you interested from beginning to end. I have not found a book in this series yet that I have not liked.

Another good book in the series

Bold Beauty is the third book in the Winnie the Horse Gentler series for tween girls. It's a Christian series, and definately are wholesome books.

In this volume, Winnie is to gentle a jumper. Only problem is, Winnie is thrown while jumping -- and starts telling lies about what happened to her so that her dad won't make her quit gentling horses. But what about Bold Beauty? She needs to be gentled enough so she can make the jumps at a competition. Without Winnie having confidence, will she be able to make Bold Beauty have the confidence needed to make that highest jump? Not only that, but she's being paid a nice sum of money to gentle this horse, and she'll only get paid if she accomplishes that. If she can't get this done, she won't have money to keep Nickers since she lost her job mucking stalls!

I really am enjoying this series. So many of the characters are so well developed. The only thing I didn't like about this book is the abortion debate. I realize this is an important issue, but I also don't like it thrown into books where it could as easily be left out, especially when it feels "tacked on" as it did in this book. Also, for younger or more naive children, this might be a little more than their parents would care for them to know on this topic.

Other than that, this is a highly enjoyable series and this book doesn't disappoint.

Another great book in the series

Another winner in this series! I thought the theme of this book, that we can do things we find difficult with God's help, came through loud and clear. So far I'm loving this series! If you love horses, you need to read these!

Great Horse Series for Kids!  Winnie Willis faces her toughest horse challenge yet.  Facing her fear and
trying again after being thrown from a jumping horse.  Winnie learned the lesson that God can help us
do anything-even get back on a horse.

    Velvetstar to Horseclan

Behind the falling water, almost completely hidden by the falls, time had worn away some of the rock. Inside there was a sandy den with plenty of sunlight that filtered through the wall of water. Smooth sandstone walls were decorated with flowering vines of every color. -Leaders Den-

Leafdapple was in the shadoes of the forest listening to Lilystar, anger rose inside of her as she cried over her mate being blind. "My mate is blind and I don't cry about it, I embrace change...I don't cry when just one of our senses ggo away, we ave five others. Eyesite isn't the only thing we have! Dustpelt is blind and I don't cry because he is blind. I would cry tears of joy because he didn't get killed or seriously injured..instead he just lost his eyesite!", she muttered to herself, gently growling with rage, than she turned fearful hoping she didn't hear her. She quietly slipped into the forest hoping no other cat had heard or seen her......

Awesome series - but parental advisory

This series is a must for all young girls, It demonstrates how to be comfortable with your relationship with God. I wholly endorse these books, however, note that this book includes a detailed debate about abortion. While the debate is well-written, it may be more than you want younger girls to read.
