Bold Love

Overview

We’ve come to view love as being “nice,” yet the kind of love modeled by Jesus Christ has nothing to do with manners or unconditional acceptance. Rather, it is disruptive, courageous, and socially unacceptable. In Bold Love, Dr. Dan Allender and Dr. Tremper Longman III draw out the aggressive, unrelenting, passionate power of genuine love. Far from helping you “get along” with others, Bold Love introduces the outlandish possibility of making a significant, life-changing impact on family, friends, coworkers—even ...

    GREAT REFERENCE FOR RELATIONSHIPS !

This book will give you freedom in areas where you come up against a brick wall in relationships of all makes and models...I read it in 2001, bought it as a gift for a grandson, but continually use it as reference when I don't seem to be able to make sense of inabilities to relate to anyone. Whether the problem is me or the other person, it helps me understand, as a Christ-loving person, and gives freedom from unnecessary guilt ....I think it is indeed a MUST HAVE in your library.....

    Extremely helpful and insightful

This book has truly helped me navigate my relationships. It has given me a great understanding of why we relate to one another the way we do and how to break out of frustrating patterns that hold us back from really loving others.

The subject matter is very deep. You shouldn't expect to breeze through it and immediately grasp everything the authors are saying--I had to read a few pages, think about them, and then read some more. However, the understanding I gained about myself and my relationships was defnitely worth the effort.

I read the book a year ago and continue to re-read it often when I need to refresh myself on certain concepts. This order was one I placed for my mother because I knew she would greatly appreciate the insights as well. I highly recommend this book.
