Bomb the Suburbsby William Upski Wimsatt
Bomb the Suburbs Graffitti, Race, Freight-Hopping and the Search for Hip Hop's Moral Center William Upski Wimsatt In this blockbuster word-of-mouth, underground classic, William "Upski" Wimsatt attacks the whole idea of the suburb as "an unfortunate state- of-mind.., founded on fear, conformity, shallowness of character, and dullness of imagination." Upski uses his coming of age in the Chicago break dancing and hip hop scene as a springboard into a totally original discussion of american identity.

Great Book takes me back in time When Chicago Graffittti was alive made crews like Aom put it down in Chicago Underground Graff movement after the buff in 1996.
a great book about hip-hop, chicago, and grafitti, and greater social problems. upski writes about all these aspects from an inside view, and i learned and thought a lot while reading this book, plus there are tons of just cool stories that are fun to read. this book is for anyone who wishes to expand their mind. i sent it too a buddy of mine in urbana.
Hip hop heads to Yale grad students will expand their minds by reading this 'book'.
