Meet the Author

I also write with my sister under Tasha-and-Sophie Duncan, and for some of my adult fiction as A D Benedict.

By day I am a project manager developing IT solutions for a large company in the South East of England. By night, you'll find me scribbling away at many a story that just won't leave me alone. I've been writing since I was a wee thing, and publishing since I discovered the internet in 1994 or so.

So what do I write? Contemporary and urban fantasy have mainly been my playground, but I have done some real world settings as well. I do like mystery and have been reading (and watching) Agatha Christie since I was a child. I've also been known to do a bit of poetry.

Style: I have been told I do angst well, so if you want your heartstrings twanged, or your tummy to tie in knots until the end, then I'm your gal. I am, however, a happy ending junkie, although I do throw a hint of realism in there sometimes as well. I like a few twists and turns on the way in some of my plots, although I have written my share of PWPs as well. I have to admit a small obsession with eyes: I believe they are the seat of beauty in a person, so I play with them in creature fic and use them for expression in others - personal hang up, sorry. Also, I have never met a cliché I didn't like and I am a firm believer that cliché is fine if you do it right.

Writing is a passion and there's nothing better than writing for an audience. Any writer who says they don't care about feedback must have had an ego amputation :) If you life my scribbles, I'd be very glad to hear from you.

    Couldn't stop reading

I was a great short story. The little gay erotica moments made it more interesting. I really liked the old(dragons) mixed in with the new(technology). And needsless to say I read the book in a hour and a half. Lol

    Dragons

I really liked the storyline. I was a bit surpried by the male erotica but not offended. I liked the dragon-human bonding and would love to see the story finished. The writing was well done and an interesting world created. I would read more of her writing if I could.

Very good short story. It does has a little gay erotica, but nothing extremely graphic - theres worse on tv (with hetero pairings mind you). I'm looking forward to a sequel.

I would enjoy reading a sequel to this story. Very interesting characters. Warning, if you are opposed to same sex attraction (male) you might not like parts, but it is written tastefully.

    Good story

Heartwarming fantasy short story, complete with dragons, magic, and yummy men. Nothing explicit, but definitely same-sex relationships. Sweet read.

While I understand that some Sci-Fi materials discuss Gay themes, I must say that this book made me sick because it flaunts and seems to
promote Pedophilia. I am very sorry I ever opened the cover!

    middle of the road

This was not a fantastic book nor an awful one. I am also one of those to prefers that I am warned that I'm going into romance or MM. I do read those genres but from what I was expecting I was disappointed about the erotica and also disappointed in how narrow the fantasy was.

That being said I love the ideas and the world and the two separate parts of it. If another book came out and I was assured of straight fantasy and a bit more length I would get it.
