I love this book and I am so glad I brought it home with me.

This book is written by an artist who works in multi media and creates books. I was attracted to the book on the shelf because of the colors and artwork chosen for the cover. I thumbed the edges of the pages and the book opened to a pastel on brown paper. I was smitten. The book showed me about binding, colophons, encaustic, aesthetic choices and collographs. The author gives concise instructions on a variety of media and processes. The instructions were well illustrated and simple enough for me to take on a project. Then, with my confidence bolstered a little bit I was able to research a little bit more. I was in love. The text identified a need to learn more about combining text and image-a desire I was unaware of previously. This is my go to book when I want something to take to work and inspire me on my lunch break. I've read it 3 or 4 times now and I still love it. Even in times when I can't read the text the artwork contained therein nourishes me - I just love looking at the pictures. This book truly reporesented the perfect marriage of timing and material.
