The kind of book you'll want to read again!

Could things get any worse for Brian Blackstone? Yes. But in the darkness of what seems a hopeless situation, a light of possiblitlies glimmers. Reaching into past mysteries found in old letters, Brian and his new friends dig deep for the truth. Will they find it in time? Mystery, suspense, a little true love, good conquering evil - set in an old English manor full of mystery and intrigue - all the ingrediants for a most satisfactory read - like all of Bunn's books.

This isdefinately a book any one can enjoy, and it would be a great book for your group to discuss.

    I Also Recommend:

A book to read each year or more often

My Dad has the story memorized and rereads it about every 6 months. He loves the discriptions, the puzzles, the English people, and the whole point of the story.
A great read! an unusual story! a wonderful reminder why we each need to remember to visit with God every hour of the day.

    I Also Recommend:

    Fun and Intriguing Read

This is one of my favorite books simply because it is not just a romance or a mystery, but a puzzler as well. A young widow inherits an estate from his wife's aunt and is left with clues to a valuable prize. As this defeated and disheartened man searches for the answers to the puzzles he meets new people, makes new friends, finds a new home and rediscovers things about himself he thought long dead; he also connects with a part of his wife that he never knew and in doing so he is able to let her go. It's a book that is hard to put down and one I highly recommend.

    Best Book Ever

My Dad discovered this book and has read it 6 times the first year and several times each year since. He found it in 1998. He can even tell you the plot, but each time he finds new ideas he missed before in it. Why doesn't Bunn write another similar to this? I thoroughly enjoy each time I have read it. I think I will pick it up again.

    Tender

This is a tender story with mystery and lots of soft characters. It's the type of book that you read and don't remember a year later.

Couldn't put it down! Listen for church bells

I couldn't put the book down. Had to find out how the riddle was solved and what the next riddle would be. Loved the setting, description, characters, loved it all. Wish I lived in a town with church bells!
