    Letting the Light Shine Through

If there are a couple of books in this life besides the Bible that you should read in order to reach self-enlightenment, this one is another one. Leonard Cohen truly is a descendant from Aaron and a modern-day prophet, where we need prophets and he shows us the Light of God and of Evil, of love and of hate and pretty much any theme you can think of. Many excellent quotes I which I could share, but I am going to keep them to myself! Read for yourself!

Lifting the world into its place

If the central truth of life is loneliness, then this is the book of experience. How one finds oneself in bleak acceptance of Divine love. As solitary man encounters the Creator, all becomes possible. Failure follows pride, and ends in filth and despair. But the book is about mercy, not about justice, and how to cloak oneself in a return to the first Word, the name written on the chaos. Life is broken, but a spark can remain to be shared, protected in the slim possibility of communion. This book will read itself into the night, with or without you.
