    Good but....

I didn't have issues with the plot or heavens new edge, but it doesn't completely finish itself. I don't think asai will be finishing the series either. I loved the series but it just ended with no end.

Samurai Girl: The Book of the Heart

I was surprised to see that many people who have written reviews for this book share my opinion that it's very good (don't get me wrong - I love the whole series), but I felt this was the weakest one of the six. (I gave the other five all five stars.) There were a couple parts in Japan that felt cheesey to me, like the uncle's assistant tricking Heaven into thinking they're both running away, and then turning all psycho on her. The part in the submarine absolutely made me sick to my stomach!!! Can you imagine sitting in a tiny room with no air movement, smelling your own waste and vomit, not being able to shower or even wash your hands??? I'm such a complete germ-a-phobe that I wouldn't be able to handle that for one hour!! I just really wish the author hadn't put that in the book, but then again, I'm a bigger wimp when it comes to that stuff than other people are, so I'm sure most readers handled it just fine. I loved the fact that Heaven finally found her mom, and that she was a decent person. That made me really happy. Overall, I think this was a great book like all the others, there were just parts that really didn't sit right with me. Heaven and Hiro definietly shouldn't have 'done the deed,' either. Heaven's not mature enough for that.

Samurai Girl: The Book of the Heart

I was very disappointed with this book. I absolutely love the series - I think it's very innovative and fun, but this book was terrible. Right from the beginning it felt completely unrealistic, and it just got worse from there. Heaven was a completely different, unemotional, one-dimensional character in this book. Hiro turned ugly. The whole part with the submarine and Hiro and Heaven doing (ahem) that, was just terrible. I did finish the book, but I skipped huge chunks because it became so very random and unbelievable. And what's up with just introducing this Melissa chick like we were supposed to know her all along? That didn't even begin to make sense. My opinion? Definitely read the series, but STOP at the end of book 5. You'll like it a lot better.

    Love it!!!

The book was really good with all the action! The way how the author describes the actions and fighting, i can already picture is going in my head. I was really sad at one part when they said Hiro was found dead. Sad. Sad. I love the book though!

I Agree - Not The Best SG Book

This was, in my opinion, the worst Samurai Girl book. The characters became too unpredictable, not to mention that the ending finished too fast. Heaven seems slightly... unfeeling in this book. She does not react to what happens to her in this book as she normally would, or as a normal person would. An 'okay' read, but there are better books, even in the same series.

    Very disappointing

The other books were fun to read, but this book is a huge disappointment. At first it seemed promising - the plot was intense, and who can say a girl with a samurai sword isn't interesting? But as the book wore on it became more and more muddled and confusing. The characters became more and more...random. Heaven seems to become strangely detached and oblivious to everyone else's feelings. And the shocking ending is nothing less than spontaneous, though Heaven seems to be oddly untouched by it and recovers unusually quickly. A clumsy, confusing ending to an otherwise promising series.

    This was an awesome book!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with every one of the other reviews. This was a great book. I really can't believe that it ended the way it did. I was or actually still am shocked. This book leaves you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I really hope that there is a seventh book because there were so many questions that I had when I finished it. I would totally recommend this book to anyone. It's a must read!

I agree with everything that was written above. I hope there will be another book to answer questions that I have. I was completely in a daze for a day about this book with the twist and the way it ended. I still can not believe the twist. Still!

    Awesome series!!!

Great book but I hope that it's not the last of the Samurai Girl series. I'd hate to have it end without knowing what happened after it all.

    Really Really Really good

This was a very interesting book. There were a lot of suprises. You find out who has been going after her and about Hiro. The end of the book leaves a good opening for the next. Can't wait to read it when ever it comes out. I recommend all of the books. :)

Best book in the series so far!

This is by far my favorite book so far. I couldn't put it down. There are twists and turns some expected some not. It also shows how much Heaven has matured from the first book from kinda a cry baby to a kick-butt chick who can handle anything that comes her way. It was great and I highly recommend this book to fans of the series!

The end of the series (probably)!

By far, the best book in the series. Everything is tied up very nicely, but still leaves plenty open for speculation. I was extremely pleased with how the book ended, and even imagined that (with my ninja sensing powers...? XD) the series would end the way it did. I would be overjoyed if a Samurai Girl: Part 2 was made to pick up where the story ends, and even start a new adventure, but one can only hope. However, I would be even more estatic if a Japanese rap group actually did the song 'Heaven's Gone', and/or if the Samurai Girl books got made into a manga, anime, or tv show. (MTV: I hope you're paying attention! A show like that would be SO RAW!) XD
