Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Asheville, NC-based artist Cogswell takes a lighthearted approach to creating art with paper and the printed word in her debut collection of bookmaking projects. After a thorough introduction to the basic supplies and techniques, the author presents the projects, which are divided into sections on conventional and unconventional books. Both sections include creative, exciting projects that will challenge crafters' ideas of what a "book" really is. Highlights include the tiny matchbox book, the pocket book, and "The Dispenser," which is comprised of text attached to invisible tape, then loaded onto a heavy vintage tape dispenser. VERDICT Cogswell's creative spirit shines in this quirky, fun collection. Crafters who enjoy artists' books, as well as scrapbookers looking for innovative ideas, will enjoy this title.
