About the Author

Sophia began restoring books over twenty five years ago. She has a diploma in book conservation from the American Academy of Bookbinding and years of hands-on bench training with a master. Her specialty is restoring 19th and 20th century cloth-bound books. In addition to her restoration work she is passionate about teaching others about archival methods of book repair. She lives in Ashland, Oregon with her husband Adam, who is a philanthropist-realtor and appraiser. When she is not restoring books, writing books, or making book repair videos, she likes to sip single malt scotch while hula hooping.
