I really enjoyed the character reference list in this sidekick. It really helped me understand who everyone is and what role they play in the book. I also really liked that the chapter by chapter analysis not only gives a summary of the book but also an analysis of the chapter as well. It really helped me to understand each chapter and does a great job of pointing out things I would have otherwise missed. A good example is that how the trauma Justine experienced by her jailors would influence future actions in the story. I also love that it points out the major themes and symbols in the book so that they aren’t over looked. I also used the book club questions and answers to dig deeper into the story and better understand what all happened throughout it.
