    interesting collection of books....

I got this book for a friend without scanning through its contents first, and found that the authors choice of authors was reasonable, but the titles chosen a little off beat in some areas. While this would not have been my top list of titles, i thought the quick reviews and the diversity was good. If you are looking for someone to help you dive into a mixture of classics and other "smart" books that would make you a little more well rounded, then this might be a good guide. There are probably some website or blogs out there that could provide similiar content w/o dropping the cost on a specific book on the subject.
