Overview

They kept me prisoner for four years, using me for my predictions. They thought they had me subdued, meekly following orders, but they were wrong. I was waiting for a chance to run. I had to be careful, though. They had my brothers, and the leader wasn’t exactly human.

The sudden death of her stepfather gives Michelle the only chance she may ever have to escape, and she takes it. She needs a place to hide and someone to listen to her predictions so her head doesn’t explode. Yet, there’s nowhere she can hide and no one to protect her from the monsters pursuing her.

Then, she meets Emmitt. He's calm, kind, caring...and a werewolf. If she can find a way to trust him, he might be able to do more than just keep her safe. He might be the one who can help her fight for answers about her gift and the other women like her.

Only time will tell if what she discovers is enough to keep those she loves safe from an emerging evil.

(Mis)fortune is the second book in the Judgment of the Six serie

(Mis)fortune is the second book in the Judgment of the Six series. In this continuation we meet Michelle and Blake. It took me by surprise that the story backtracks before and at the same time as book one. One word that I could use to describe this story would be innocence. The main character Michelle is hands down one of the strongest level headed young adult characters I have ever read about. It floored me to read about such a girl/woman that is so self – sacrificing and able to mature overnight with two toddlers. The action/suspense in the story is spread out so you get a bit of romance, suspense and action throughout the book. This story is no less enjoyable than the first and gives you a lot more answers about the special women and the different werewolves. Enjoy!

Love this series. The first book is free, so all should give it a try if you like paranormal romance.

    Needs editing

The spelling and grammar errors were too distracting. Otherwise, my opinion would be 5 stars. I don't remember the 1st book having editing issues. If I'm correct about that, I'm surprised by the number of errors in book 2.

    Loved it!

My only issue is that there were editing issues but not so horrific that it was a distraction. I do feel when I pay for a book that the errors would be few and far between.
I did read the book in one sitting. I like originality, and this author has a unique concept and I like that. I plan to read the next book and I do recommend it.

I dont write many reviews. Too many books are so "the same"! Well.......I've read the first 3 books in the judgements and they were fantastic reads! Surprisingly. Wonderful new author for me. The story, characters and detail wre all great and ORIGINAL! You dont't find that too much anymore. I know others mentioned some typos.....but well worth looking over. Don't pass this up.

    Excellent!

Haag writes beautifully, crafting characters you really come to like and love. She reminds me of Nora Roberts in that way. I'm looking forward to the third book, and I have only been reading free books, but I have bought hers!

    Worth your time

I purchased this book after reading the book one, which was free. This centers around new characters intertwined with the pack we we read about in book one. Lead character is Michelle, who is a one of the "five" Gabby "sees" in book one.
Very well written and thought out, I could not put it down
I also like the fact that this author did not stoop to the level of others by putting explicit sexual scenes in these two books. MOM'S, your kid's are safe reading these!
Yes, a few minor spelling issues, but few and far between, I would not consider them an issue as another reviewer did. My only quirky criticism is the lead males name, "Emmet"......Seriously, is it me or does anyone else have a hard time picturing a handsome, ex-military, buffed, adoring. man of all womens dreams with a name like that?
Yes, I am purchasing book three, "(Un)wise.
