Admittedly, I am a nut about tracking my investments. In my office I keep the TV set on CNBC, sort of like fast moving wall paper. But almost everyday Economic Indicators are a top-line story. Today it was unemployment claims, and lo and behold, I quickly thumb to Chapter 6 and there is is. The presentation has the definition, key facts behind the data, and a "just right" level of data analysis so you can learn enough to feel smarter than the talking heads on TV. Seems especially timely for these days of recession and self managed 401(k) pensions. I feel lucky to have access to such thoughtful analysis. In college economics my text was Samuelson. I dreaded opening it. Not so for Rogers treatment. Everything you need to keep up with the pros, in a thoroughly accessable and entertaining format.
