The Journey is a story of two jewish sisters, Katarzyna and Elzbieta. They plan to escape from their home land to reach Poland. Through out the story Katarzyna and Elzbieta change their names and biographies as they run from the Nazis. They are put into a transport camp while waiting for a train to Poland. While in the Camp the inspectors find out about them being jewish. So Katarzyna and Elzbieta escape. They go through hundreds of miles of traveling and many times of escaping. They both learn the real meaning of sticking together. I would recommend this book to others who are interested in the hard times of the Holocaust or for enjoyment. It keeps your interest and gives you a good understanding of the past.
