About the Author

Lance Campbell is an experienced wrestling coach, having coached scholastic teams at the junior high, high school, and collegiate levels. He has also coached freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling at the kids through adult levels. Campbell is a former world champion in SAMBO, a jacket style of wrestling that was developed in the former Soviet Union. Campbell also is experienced in submission grappling. He was one of only eight competitors in the Ultimate Submission Showdown in 2003. He also placed third in the Pan American of Submission Grappling in 2003 in the advanced division. He was awarded his blue belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu in 2004 under Rob Handley of Behring Jiu Jitsu. In 2004, he started the USA Storm Combat Club. Presently, there are more than a dozen affiliated schools around the United States. He also competed twice in mixed martial arts competition.
