As an actor and acting teacher, I have found this book to be an invaluable reference. Many of my students are adults who are just beginning to follow their true calling--without the benefit of recent college attendance. Terms are often tossed around in 'The Business', leaving some folks feeling lost, inadequate, and embarrassed to admit that they know neither their etiology or meaning. This book offers clear, easy to understand explanations of most of these terms, and serves as a handy 'cheat sheet' for the terminology-disadvantaged. Even those of us who have been around for a while can find great value in this glossary, which helps us to once again re-visit and re-sort concepts and approaches essential to a full understanding of the craft of acting.
