What do you do when Fate pushes you into the path of your ultimate crush?

Sally Regal is a candidate of Balamb Garden, a mercenary network of SeeDs. But after five years of failing to pass the Fire Cavern final exam qualifier, the end of her candidacy looms. If she doesn’t make the grade, they will ship her home.

After being enrolled at Garden her motivation has forever been her crush on young war hero Zell Dincht, a legender SeeD member. If she could bolster her courage enough to tell him the failure wouldn’t cut so deep. The challenge is finding the right time.

*(this is a work of fan-fiction and takes place after the events of Final Fantasy VIII)

this book is actually pretty good.. its a bit confusing at first and the author has an obsession over hot dogs but its really cute and i love how it shows sallys trandformatoom from shy girl to comfortable with zell... i wish the author would tell us what the garden is or what she is fighing in the fire cavern or give us more specifics but i really like the interal dialouge sally has with herself... overall a good book and the whole series is free so really why not

I read the stories in the wrong order, so things make more sense now. light and cute romance with a bit of sci-fi or fantsy like history. I feel that as prolog would help, t o explian that this is a diffetent world or time or something.

The beginning and middle parts of the book were hard to understand what was happening at times, but as the ending started to play out you understood what was happening. I had a feeling that Zell liked her. All in all this was a good book, not the best I've read, but a good book none the less.

My problem was that one: i couldn't figure out what the school was about and if it had to do with magic or not untill the middle and two: the end was horrible and a HUGE let down!!! It was cute but SO anti-climatic at the end!

I loved this entire series. over never played the final fantasy games, but that really made no difference to the story. It was obvious there was a backstory, but that's true of any novel. The characters were very fun and fascinating, a real pleasure to see how their relationships. Very entertaining, highly recommended. Side note to the author re use of pronouns... A test for plural pronouns is to break up the sentence and try it for each character separately. Eg "she did it and I did it" for "she and I did it" vs "her did it and I did it" for "her and I did it". Good way to make sure it makes sense.

This 362 page book is the first in a series of four.( so far) All four are free. The editing is acceptable. I have read the first book and down loaded the second. There is a conclusion, but not everything is tied off. This is not a current time novel, which was not made clear by the author. This was a bit confusing at first. It is futuristic, and the training camp Seeds, is a tongue in check operation. This book is sappily cute book about something of a misfit heroine. It is funny at times and has romance and mystery. It is a pretty good beach read. The author should have gone into more detail about time and place, instead of the hot dog obsession, which got rather old. This book is not an intense, dark read. It is more a romance, science fiction type of book. I enjoyed it. It is one of the lighter reads on the shelf. AD

I loved the game FF8, so when I came across this fan fiction series I got it. I honestly wasn't expecting much. Most fan fiction sucks, but this author did a good job of staying true to the characters, and the FF8 world. The main character, Sally is shy and sweet. An d Zell is well; Zell. I sincerely enjoyed it.

I have a very vague idea of Final Fantasy.. very very vague... lucky me google helped me with stuff like "Thrusteavis" I really like the story though, so its okay. I should have read the description before starting.. But I'm going to read the rest anyway :) Keep google open for times of confusion.

I usually don't read books like this but, this is a very good series. It probably took me two whole days to read the whole series and some of her other books. R.W.
