Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Bend, OR, has lost its little-town status with growth and construction everywhere. Could this boom have led to murder? Retired naval ordinance expert-turned-private investigator Tony Caruso is hired to investigate the murder/suicide of a wealthy real estate developer's son and daughter-in-law. Fast action and good characterizations make this launch title of a new imprint a good summer read. Scott, author of the Jake Addams international thriller series, lives in the Pacific Northwest. Death Twins Of The Fire Arena , part 9

Hey guys. Next part at nex result. ---- I screamed Percy's name. Peacekeppers tried to drag me back but I shot then in the heart. On the floor lies an unconsious man in a cloak. Will Ranger. Did he get here before me? I can tell he isn't dead but barely breathing. Percy's forehead is beaded in sweat and his messy brown hair is damp with sweat. The bloody slab of flesh is leaking a stream a blood. I jump in front of Percy as the man pulls the whip down hard on my shoulder. A moan escapes my throat. Blood dribbles down my shirt and I jump in front of him again. This time, Nico stands directly in front of him, and gets hit on his left cheek. He screams in agony as the whip comes down a second time. "Excuse me. I believe the limit of whippings is reached." A lady says. I pant and scream. I'm so out of breath that I can feel my entire body shake. I feel someone lift me up. Before we leave, I grip Percy and Nico's hands tightly as I pass out. ---NEXT PART AT NEXT RESULT!!-DTOTFA
