I enjoyed this book. I received a free copy of the book from the author for an honest review. This was the first of the series that I had read but I had no problem following the story. I enjoyed the story of a couple struggling with aspects of getting married and teenage children. I would recommend this series to anyone.

Boots and Bedlam by Ashley Farley is third in the Sweeney Sisters series and yet is easily a stand-alone novella. Family drama surrounds Sam and Eli as they plan a quick wedding at Christmas time. Bedlam definitely reigns as life crashes in around them. Will the wedding even happen? Who forgot the license. And just who is this girl Sam's son has brought home? A fun read and yet Farley deals with real-life issues of alcoholism and substance abuse. Boots and Bedlam is an entertaining story about family loyalty, love, and pulling together in stressful times. And with the surprise ending, there just may be a fourth book coming! I received a copy of this book from the author. I was not required to leave a review and the opinions are my own.

What's more romantic than a Christmas Eve wedding? Not much, I tell you. Sam's dreams are finally coming true with a proposal from her love, Eli, but a lot of crazy chaos threatens their small, dream wedding. I haven't read any other books in this series and this story can stand alone, but be warned--there are a lot of characters and it took me awhile to sort out who is who. Sam has an underage son, Jamie, who is in college and he seems to be such a great friend and support to his mother. I love that bond they share, which is a mix of respect, love, and humor. Eli is a good balance for Sam and that's apparent in the way they handle the different situations that arise. This family and community is tight-knit and will pull whatever strings necessary to help each other. I wasn't expecting to get such a heavy story with this one--remember Christmas wedding? But a few of the unexpected twists result in some serious parental subject matter. I read to escape and really didn't want to be thrown into the depths of mama drama...and this mama is drama. I was a little disappointed that an almost 50 year old woman would be calling a house guest names behind her back. Jamie's friend is a diva, but I thought the way Sam handled that whole situation was immature. That aside, I love the messages found within these pages: love conquers all, Christmas is a time for miracles, and kindness matters. The lengths people were willing to go to in order to put this wedding together warmed my heart and soul. Content: mild Christian instances; mild language (Bible swears with an extra word or two thrown in); mild romance (with some semi-vague suggestive innuendo). *I received a copy through the tour host. I voluntarily reviewed this book and all opinions are my own.*

This was a sweet novella set towards my favorite time of year, Christmas! I am a sucker for Christmas love stories, and I felt this story came right from the hallmark channel! It may have had parts that I felt were a little too predictable, but overall I enjoyed the flow of the stories and the character interactions. I think the part I enjoyed the most was that it wasn't all roses in planning this Christmas Eve wedding. There were several bumps along the way, both wedding and non-wedding related. I think this shows the importance of not letting the little things get to you. Just go with the flow, as nothing that happens in life is perfect! I also thought the storyline with Sam's son and his girlfriend was a nice mix too. Alcohol and drug use is a big problem in our country and I appreciate the author bringing it to life in a realistic yet subtle way that didn't ruin the main theme of the story. Of you're looking for a sweet romance to get yourself in the mood for the holidays I suggest you give this story a shot! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. I was not required to give a good review. All opinions and thoughts are 100% my own.

If you are looking for a quick, fun, and entertaining read Boots and Bedlam is perfect. The Sweeney sisters are full of adventure and great family bonding. Once again my favorite part of the story is the making of memories and the holding onto the family traditions. I have a family that is full of traditions and I wouldn’t give them up for anything. I also enjoyed Sam’s son. He is home for Christmas with his DIVA girlfriend and things happen. Not so good things but his reaction is what proves what an amazing mom Sam has been. His upbringing shows him that everything is not as it seems. While Eli is not his biological father the support he shows both Sam and her son prove what an outstanding guy he is. Boots and Bedlam is the third book in the Sweeny Sister’s series by Ashley Farley. I have been lucky enough to read the first two but truly believe that this can be picked up as a standalone book and the reader will enjoy it. I highly recommend reading this entire series, in any order.

LOVE THIS SERIES! Rated 3.5 stars. Boots and Bedlam is the third book in the Sweeney Sisters series. While this book can be read as a standalone, I suggest you read all three books in order so you have a better understanding of the characters and events. Samantha's (Sam's) story starts and continues prominently in all three books. I thought that this was the last book in the series, as there are three sisters and three books, but there is a cliffhanger at the end. So now I have to wait for another book to see what happens next in the Sweeney extended family. The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat all of that info here. For new readers to the series, the author tries to summarize the storyline so far. The two main characters, Sam and Eli, continue their relationship (read more of their story in the first two books). The events in this book start at Thanksgiving weekend and end with Christmas. The three sisters and their mom have so much to do in those few short weeks. Then add in some complications and unexpected situations. Can they get everything done in time and survive the bedlam that ensures? Boots and Bedlam once again reminds us that family isn't always about blood. I would recommend this book, and series, to anyone who is looking for some good reading about family coming together to help and support each other. I received an advance copy of this book and chose to write a review for it.

SUPER GOOD!! This is my first time to read one of Ashley Farley's books. I can honestly and wholeheartedly say it won't be my last! This was a fabulous book! I did not feel lost because I had not read the first two books about the Sweeney Sisters. It was easy to catch up with the characters. Farley does a masterful job with her descriptions of people, places and situations. As you read, you feel like you, too, are participating in the story. There is plenty of bedlam in this story as the author is not afraid to deal with real world situations and paints an accurate picture of consequences from bad choices. There is a beautiful multilevel love story that plays out on these pages as well. This novel is thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end. I was provided an ARC but this is my own honest opinion of the book.

I love reading Christmas stories and I absolutely love the Sweeney Sisters series so how could this not be an awesome story to read? From the very first book in this series, I have loved being a part of the sisters' lives. The characters are great, their lives and loves are interesting, and the sisters are always there for each other. Each book develops the relationships between the sisters to the point where I would really like to be their friend, if not one of their sisters. A Christmas wedding sounds just perfect, doesn't it? The merriment and joy along with the beautiful lights and fluffy snow just create a winter wonderland, a perfect setting for Samantha's special day. As family and friends come together to make sure the day happens, everyone comes to realize what is most important in life. I always look forward to reading more about the Sweeney sisters and I loved that I was able to spend a little Christmas time with them this year.

When I first started reading this I didn't realize it was a novella...and in a way was very sad that the story ended so soon! But it just left me wanting more and the final installment which will be coming up soon. Sam has finally gotten over her fear of commitment and is ready to spend her life with Eli. I like how they are both recovering alcoholics and can help each other when temptation is too much. And there are times that it is very tempting. Jamie brings home a friend for the holidays - a self absorbed girl that needs a HUGE wake up call, and I think she gets it but not the way she wants. And I won't tell you the twist at the end - which I did guess in the beginning, so this will make for some interesting reading in book 4 of this series. You will probably want to read the first two books first since this continues the story of the sisters. You could read it as a stand alone, but then if you go back and read the others it might spoil some things.

Sweet story about Sam Sweeney and the preparations for her wedding on Christmas Eve. Between finding a place to hold the ceremony, reception and finding someone to officiate the wedding, unforeseen things happen and the fear of the unknown sets in. Then, a forecast for snow could possibly change all of her plans. I enjoy reading about the Sweeney sisters and their lives.
