Overview

She wants no strings…but he wants it all.

After her philandering husband left her, Lacey Lambert found sanctuary, and a better class of friends, at the Ugly Stick Saloon. She learned that the best revenge—against her ex, and the “friends” who kicked her out of the Temptation Garden Club—is to live life to the fullest.

Now that her best friend is moving out of her apartment building, she’s feeling a little lonely. And more than ready for a little commitment-free sex with the hot new downstairs tenant.

Freshly divorced, Nick McBride isn’t looking for another failed relationship. But when the luscious brunette offers no-strings sex—with him and his brother—he can’t come up with a good reason to refuse.

After he gets over the shock that she likes it loud, long, and in front of an open window, he finds himself wanting more time with her. Maybe even on a permanent basis. But it’ll take every ounce of his cowboy charms to convince her to let him sweep her off her feet.

Warning: Contains a motorcycle-ridin’ cowboy, a wild-and-free woman who doesn’t care what the town biddies think, and semi-public sex loud enough to set tongues a-waggin’!

~Reviewed by ANN & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog BOOTS AND LACE is a red hot read, the kind that puts to the pedal to the metal and doesn’t relent until the very end! ~ Under the Covers BOOTS AND LACE is my first book by Myla Jackson and I’m very glad I tried her writing out. I’ve recently got into cowboys and realized what I’ve been missing so I jumped at the chance to read more of them. Though this is the fourth book in the series, I definitely think it can be read as a standalone, though you can tell that there is a ton of room to discover new couples in other books. After being cheated at love, Nick McBride and Lacey Lambert are free and looking for a no-strings-attached relationship. Just hot sex to make up for lost time. Lacey is a woman who is very comfortable with her sexuality. She is free and liberated and doesn’t mind the rumors that spread about her. She is content with who she is and she also loves sex. Nick, on the other hand, is a little more hesitant. After undergoing a particularly rough divorce, he isn’t sure how he can jump into the sack with someone he just met, but Lacey has this allure that he can’t help but be attracted too. In a series of hot trysts that involve a ménage a trios with Nick’s brother, Cory, some BDSM action and an impromptu orgy, things heat up quick in this short story! Just a note on the BDSM, it isn’t too heavy and really is there just to add excitement to the sex. Lacey isn’t afraid to have her hair pulled and be spanked so the light BDSM just showcases that a little bit more. BOOTS AND LACE is a red hot read, the kind that puts to the pedal to the metal and doesn’t relent until the very end! It’s a definite scorcher and not one to be missed! *ARC provided by publisher

Very juvenile to say the least. The heroine is absurd and trashy in more ways then one. The author was trying too hard. The storyline was equally stupid...don't waste your money.
