Once again, author James Griffin has come up with an action packed tale of frontier Texas. This time, we learn more about Ranger Jim Blawcyzk's family, as the Ranger rides off to a danger-filled assignment. He has orders to join a company of Rangers trying to stop white rustlers and renegade Comanches from preying on the settlers of the Nueces Strip. Once Blawcyzk and his partners reach the Strip, the action is fast and furious, and holds the reader's attention from beginning to end. And, just like in the previous Blawcyzk tale, Trouble Rides the Texas Pacific, there's not a swear word or overly graphic violence or sex to be found. A great Western story. Was this review helpful? The newest book by James Griffin, 'Border Raiders, A Jim Blawcyzk Texas Ranger Story' was not a disappointment at all. This book is a fast-paced, action-packed continuation of his first Jim Blawcyzk, Texas Ranger, novel. Mr Griffin has the reader hooked from the first few paragraghs. The newest adventures of the Texas Rangers is filled with the camaraderie of his men that Texas Ranger Blawcyzk commanded to fight the Comanches and the Rustlers. The absence of overt violence, sex and foul language is also a welcome relief when reading any novel today. An excellent book that I highly recommend to all reader's.Was this review helpful?
