He also slept with a teddy bear, and, dressed as a woman, strolling through town, he carried 28 carving knives, a straight razor, and a gun in his truck. When the reclusive loner was arrested in 1992 for the stabbing murders of two local girls, no one was surprised. While serving a seventy-year sentence, Hadden confessed to having a split personality, dominated by a psychotic mother and daughter who were vying for attention. He also admitted to murdering at least a dozen more women— the ones he could remember— cannibalizing them, using their leftover body parts as fishing bait, and burying their remains everywhere from a local cemetery to a sand dune on Cape Cod.     Boring

    I thought this book was going to give more details about the murders, it only gave details about 2. The book started off telling the story of a criminal that had little to do with Hadden Clark. I had trouble finishing the book because it was too boring.

    Creepy

    Creepy and fasinating!! Scariest part for me was knowing I had met him before. Great book! Not for the faint of heart. This is a great fast read.

    Eh...

    Although this book was a good read and some insight into the grooming of a killer, I think that it would have been much better if the stories of all or most of his killings were included. I understand that the man wasn't exactly right in the head, but I would have found the book more interesting if they included more information.

    This book is like no other

    I am not one who is easily frightened, but this is one story that gave me the chills! I would recommend this tantalizing book to anyone who could handle it. This is one book that is not for the faint of heart.

    exceptional writing

    I found this book to be both informative and entertaining. I had a hard time putting it down. If youre into serious true crime you will definitely love this book. A must have for the true crime collector.

    horror on earth

    This book is a very intersting read. It tells a lot of the facts and it throws you into the mind of a natural born murderer. It tells his crimes and what happenened to him. I recommnd this book indefinatly
