Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. The hypnotic songress, Lana Del Rey, brings great emotional depth into every song. Her sweet-husky voice sweeps over you and your mind, body, and soul are put in a musical trance. I can't get enough of her music. I personally love all the songs, each one feels like cinematic moment, but "Video Games," "Blue Jeans," and "Born to Die," are the elite three songs of the album. Lana says they are actually a trilogy. The threesome of songs were written about the one great love of her life. You can almost feel the relationship in the songs. I know I'm putting alot of musical pressure on this album. You may not enjoy the album as much as I have, but it's definitely a musical experience...something new among all the dance/pop songs of today, which I love, but this album was a refreshing escape. I am definitely an new avid fan of Lana Del Rey, her husky voice, and this certain allure she has. Anyway, go get it!

All Music Guide
With a sultry, affecting voice, New York-born singer Lana Del Rey took the music world by storm at the end of 2011 with "Blue Jeans" and "Video Games." Born to Die became arguably the most anticipated album of 2012 as a result, demonstrating in long-player form just what Lana Del Rey was capable of. Single "Born to Die" is a typical example of her dramatic brand of pop music.
