A sad, strange coincidence…that’s Dr. Kacey Lambert’s initial response to the deaths of two women who bear an uncanny resemblance to herself. It’s not like there was any real connection between Kacey and the B-movie actress or the elementary school teacher. But Detective Selena Alvarez suspects otherwise.

Can Be…

One of the bodies contained traces of poison at the time of death. Selena and her partner, Detective Regan Pescoli, can find no motive for murder. But Kacey has started to notice ties between the dead women’s lives and her own—all close in age, born within miles of each other. And all have links to Trace O’Halleran, the man Kacey just started dating.

Deadly…

The deeper Kacey digs, the more reason she has to fear. More look-alikes are dying, and the killer is getting bolder and more brutal. And Kacey knows it’s only a matter of time before hers is the next name on a list of those who were born to die…

    more from this reviewer

Lisa Jackson is an awesome author!!

This is an excellent read. I have read everything Ms Jackson has written. I love the New Orleans series along with the Montana "To Die" Series and everything else. If you pick up a Lisa Jackson novel you will not be disappointed. She makes the characters so vivid and exciting that they really come to life for me. I do not think you could ever go wrong picking up a Lisa Jackson book.

    Exciting read!

Born to Die was a great fun read! I read the Montana "To Die" series in order and was hooked from the first book! If you're looking to lose yourself in a mystery, Lisa Jackson is for you! Her writing style makes you feel like you're a character in her book.

I have just finished "Fatal Burn" by Lisa Jackson, it was a real page turner! I highly reccomend Born To Die, and all of her novels

This book was predictable just like ALL LJ books....

..I would love to see LJ step outside her comfort zone, just once and she'd be an amazing author. A good author should always leave you wanting more ( more plots, more characters and more diversity). As always her books are set in Montana and within the first 20 pages you know who will live/die and who will end up as a happily ever after couple. I keep hoping for a surprise ending and I am always disappointed. The more I read from LJ the less I look forward to the next book. Lisa Jackson is not an author for a seasoned reader.

The story-line was contrived & predictable for me ... but I trudged through it, mainly because ea book in the series seemed connected & I still had #4 in my reading future.

    Really enjoyed this book!!

I read the 2nd book in this series and definitely wanted to read the 3rd and I wasn't disappointed. This book kept me reading until the end. It gave you the twists and turns you need in a good book to keep you reading til the end. In the end it wasn't who I had initially thought was behind the murders, but still a good surprise. Also, the little twist about the final hero was interesting. I definitely had to read the epilogue to figure out how that last twist came about, but a really good book.
