Sur ces terres nouvelles est né l'élégant quartier de Back Bay (baie arrière). De nos jours, Back Bay est un quartier à la mode où se marient rues résidentielles et artères bordées de boutiques haut de gamme et de restaurants chics dont plusieurs se sont d'ailleurs installés à l'intérieur d'anciennes demeures bourgeoises.



Ce circuit inclut le Copley Square et son pourtour, où se trouvent réunis quelques-uns des principaux monuments de Boston. Il inclut aussi la Trinity Church, la Boston Public Library et la Commonwealth Avenue.
