Will she submit to his desires?
Eric's only reason for returning to his hometown is to care for his recently orphaned nephew. He knew the return would involve dredging up his past with family and friends, but he didn't expect a lone girl to capture his interest and offer an escape within his new life.
Will his binds be enough to keep her?

Lena the loner is dragged out by her roommate to have a bit of fun and meets Eric, just back to the area to care for his nephew after her and her husband were killed in a car accident. Eric and Lena have both had issues in their past and both have learned in dealing with them in different ways. The chemistry between these two is hot and sexy. Eric uses his Dom skills to draw out the issues that Lena is keeping inside and helping her work through them but will he push her too far? As a control freak myself I could really relate to the feelings Lena had when she was able to give that to Eric. A wonderful read and so sexy, can’t wait to read more from Skye Callahan. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I loved the banter when Eric and Lena when they first meet at the sports bar. I love when characters have that type of initial meeting. Flirty and fun. Before they knew each other’s names, they had nicknames Eric (aka Rusty) and Lena (aka Loner). Those initial scenes were my favorite. The author did a nice job connecting the reader to the characters.
Eric is a Dom. He tries to help Lena with her issues by introducing her to the BDSM world. However, throughout the book, I never felt like Eric took a real alpha Dom role. There were scenes where he was dominant, but for the most part I felt he was a lenient Dom. Not sure if there is such a thing. Eric, in my opinion was just a nice guy. From beginning to end, Eric was sweet, loving, patient, and understanding. I never saw him as an alpha. He did push Lena, but he knew when to stop. Lena felt broken and Eric was there to help.
I felt like other things in Eric and Lena’s life could have been explored a little more. I feel like there were parts about “them” that I was missing. This was a great relationship that I hope is explored more, but not sure if there is a sequel with them as the main characters. Overall, it was a nice romance with a bit of mild BDSM. Besides taking Lena to the BDSM club and having another type of “experience” at the club, it was mild BDSM story. It was erotic and sweet at the same time.

Lena doesn't get out much. She dreads when her roommate tries to get her out of her comfort zone. So one Friday night when her roommate drags her to a rowdy sports bar she plans on revenge. Knowing it will drive her roommate crazy, Lena begins flirting with the handsome stranger next to her at the bar. When flirting and conversation leads to a shared cab ride home she wavers and soon it becomes just a memory. Going no further than a kiss. Until she sees him roaming the halls of the elementary school where she teaches.
Eric has had a pile of responsibilities placed onto his plate. When his nephew's parents die and he is placed into Eric's care, his whole life changes. The last thing he needs is for Lena to become the thing he can't let go.
I fell in love with this book as soon as I started it. The hot factor was off the charts between Eric and Lena. Although there was major hotness there was also some serious downs in this story. Lena's past is horrific and it made me feel for her. I wouldn't wish that kind of history on my worst enemy. Eric figures out Lena's past and tries to help her get past it and move on and heal herself. This bonds the two even further. I cannot wait for the next one in this series! Skye Callahan does a wonderful job creating a hot and erotic world for Eric and Lena.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Lena is a loner that keeps her distance from people, she only has a few friends who she trusts. One night her foster brother Jeremiah persuades Lena to go to a local sports bar. Eric has just become a parent to his nephew and needs a release and some fun. Lena meets Eric and her life changes. Eric is a Dom and wants Lena to be his sub. Eric needs Lena to submit to him totally but will she? This books takes you on a journey of two people who need each sexually and emotionally. I liked this book although I think the characters needed more delving into.

Lena is a quiet, withdrawn, moody 3rd grade teacher that would rather stay home
and read a book then be with people. Her best friend Jeremiah fianlly gets her
out of the house where she meets the friendly, confident Eric who wants to bring
out the fun girl that he sees in her. Only after a short time, Lena feels like
Eric has freed her to a point from her own mind and exposed her to a lifestyle
that she maybe wondered about in her past. However when Lena has some issues in
her past that may affect her relationship with not only Eric but with herself as
well. Can they work past them to find a mutally pleasurable experience or will
Lena walk away?
I would like to give this book a higher score than what I am going to give. I
will only give it a 3.5 and the reason is...to me I felt this was almost a
shorter version of FSOG with a whiny character. The plot was almost the same,
but lacking the heat. Instead of the Dom having issues, it's the submissive, The
writing was ok but by the end of the book I kind of wanted to smack Lena. Not
that her past wasn't traumatic, but that she has chosen to close herself off
then try to seek help. Eric has the patience of a saint and helps her with these
issues but she almost doesn't act like she's grateful. I found the book to be
lacking chemistry and heat. It was a good one-time read.

I received an advanced copy of the book to read in exchange for an honest review. Another great book by Skye. I started reading it and couldn’t put it down. One word to describe it is HOT! Lena and Eric are great together. They embark on a relationship that has Eric breaking down all of the barriers Lena had set up around herself. Lena is reluctant at first but once she lets him into her life she finally finds happiness and tries things she never thought she would be trying. If you haven’t added it to your to be read list you need to.

Bound and Unbroken is a good read! There is a disclaimer in the front of the book. It says "This book contains explicit sexual content (including BDSM themes), graphic language, and situations that some may find objectionable: M/F anal play and sex, bondage, spanking, exhibitionism. In addition to the content mentioned above, there are scenes that deal with self-harm and discussion of previous sexual assault. If you have difficulty with any of these subjects, proceed with caution." There are a lot of heavy issues dealt with in this book. I was a little scared to read it after that warning but the issues mentioned in the warning are dealt in such a way that the flow with the content of the story perfectly.
The loved Lena and Eric's story. The book is told in both Lena and Eric's POV. I am a bid fan of dual POVs because then you get both characters' perspective. I did find Eric's character to be a little on the creepy side at first but after getting more background on him, I grew to love him.
There are a lot of things that happen is this story. Even after reading the disclaimer, I was still surprised by some of the things that happen. Skye Callahan writes in such a detailed way that I could play the scenes out in the head like I was watching a movie.

I have been provided an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. With this said, lets get on with the review. I loved the story. Lena & Eric's story above all else was a true mixing of souls. They bonds they forge are definitely unbreakable. They are two unlikely matches that find themselves after finding each other. He is the hero to Lena. She is the silent homebody, who isn't looking for a relationship after the last one she had went so horribly bad, and she had a traumatic childhood. She had no idea that one night sitting in a sports bar after being dragged out by her roommate that she would find her soul mate, that would make her face all her demons. Will she be strong enough to overcome everything with him, or lose herself in the process? You will have to read the book to find out. I would recommend this book to anyone who can handle it. I absolutely loved it!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
