Bound by Moonlight
Winner of the 2008 Romantic Times critics choice award for Historical Love and Laughter.

A woman of extraordinary talents...

Lusinda Havershaw turns invisible in moonlight -- just her, not her clothes. She can't help it or prevent the process; it just happens. The descendent of a rare race, her ancestors have been burned as witches, persecuted and tormented as the devil's children. Lucinda must be careful to avoid detection. However, as her family has no other means of support, she reluctantly sheds her petticoats and corset during a full moon to prowl the gas-lit streets of London, stark naked, as a thief for hire.

A man with a dangerous mission...

The only tools British spy and master safecracker James Locke needs are his hands and his brains. But when a hand tremor threatens his mission to secure a list of agents for the Crown, the accidental discovery of a lady thief with an extraordinary secret may just be his salvation. However, as James and Lusinda discover, there's more than one kind of trouble to be found in the moonlight. The kind that begins with blackmail and ens with a kiss...

Bound by Moonlight, set in 1877 London, England, was originally published by Penguin publishing, Berkley imprint under the title "The Trouble with Moonlight." The title has been changed to allow the book to more easily fit in a series of stories connected to the Nividium race.

About the Author

Award winning author Donna MacMeans made a wrong turn many years ago when she majored in Accounting. Balancing books just can’t compete with crafting plots and inventing memorable characters. A licensed CPA, she manages to write seductively witty Victorian historicals and historical and contemporary paranormals in what can only be described as her dream job.

Her books have won many awards including the prestigious Golden Heart from Romance Writers of America, and the Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award for Historical Love & Laughter, as well as recognition in many regional contests. Donna teaches workshops across the country on writing, as well as on taxes for writers. Some skills you just can't lose. :-) Her books and workshops consistently receive high praise and glowing reviews.

When her fingers aren’t on a keyboard or adding machine, she loves to dance. In fact, she met her husband on a dance floor in Cleveland, Ohio. They've been married for 40+ years and have two adult children that live close by... and a cat that huddles as close as possible. She paints in acrylics, roots for the Ohio State Buckeyes (her alma mater) and periodically creates desserts with copious amounts of alcohol. She's a member of Romance Writers of America, Central Ohio Fiction Writers, and Northeastern Ohio Romance Writers. You can find her at www.DonnaMacMeans.com or on Facebook at
