About the Author

V.V. Webb has been weaving stories since she was just a little girl. She grew up in a strict, religious household that meant a lot of moving around and left much of her life unstable. She never knew what the next day would look like, only that she had to keep moving forward. At just seven years old, she had clarity of what she was experiencing and the cunning to continue to find a way out of an abusive home.
Finally, Webb was placed in foster care and went from home to home, using reading to escape the memories that clung to her and writing as her outlet for the experiences she'd had. She would write about things she was interested in for a while, but then set the stories down to gather dust on the pages of the several journals she set aside.
Webb went to college and participated in several creative writing classes where she learned new points of view that helped her improve the quality of her work. Still, she couldn't seem to complete any work she ever started. She was told that her writing and her stories were "too dark," and raised concerns for her mental health. But, she wrote what she knew – and what she knew was dark and rich with emotions that most people tucked away.
After years of trying to find a good way to write a memoir or an autobiography for the freedom she knew it would provide, Webb discovered Dark Romance. After bingeing several novels, she realized that she had found her niche, her safe place to truly express herself. An idea started to form and blossom, turning into her first book. She found herself cutting open old wounds, but allowed her to finally gain the closure she had longed for, for so long. Her writing is more than a few spicy scenes in a book – it's her own form of a majorly, majorly dramatized autobiography.
