Justice Lonesome has enjoyed a life of bounty.

Even so, she's inherited the curse of the Lonesome. A poet's soul. Which means she's still searching for something. Searching for peace. Searching for the less...that's more.

And when the foundation of her life is pulled out from under her, grieving, she goes to the mountains to find her oasis. She hits Carnal, Colorado and decides to stay.

Deke Hightower lost everything at the age of two. He lost it again at fifteen. His life has not been about bounty. It's been about learning to live with less, because there's no way to get more.

Deke's also watched all his friends go down to the women who gave them what they needed. He wants that for himself. But he knows that search isn't going to be easy because he's a rider. His home is the road. That's the only place he can breathe. And the woman who takes her place at his side has to do it sitting on the back of his bike.

When Deke meets Justice, he knows she's not that woman. She's cute. She's sweet. And she's into him, but she's got it all and Deke knows he won't fit into that. So he holds her at arm's length. Establishes boundaries. And Justice will take it because she wants Deke any way he'll let her have him.

But when Justice finds herself a pawn in a dangerous game, Deke makes a decision.

When he does, he has no idea he's just opened himself up to bounty.

Meet the Author

Kristen Ashley is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. She grew up in Indiana, but has lived in Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she's been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least), but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, living in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Ms. Ashley's plots are all melding together. Just change the names and they could be one large book. None of the male leads can use full sentences, just clipped phrases. None of the female leads seem to be able to say "no" to sex any place, any time. I guess many readers find these books exciting, but to me they are getting boring.

Deke is the quintessential KA hero! Hot Alpha only begins to describe my newest book boyfriend! And so many layers to this beautiful story. Love love loved it! Can't wait for Maggie and Woods story, and loved the references to Stella and Mace setting up the new series with them too. Please write fast!

Loved the story of Seka and Justice! Hot alpha male and the woman he fell head over heels for. Storyline kept me on the edge of my seat. I even cried when Justice sang at the hospital for Deke. Love all your books Kristen Ashley. You are in my top ten favorite authors. Thank-you for what you do.

I'm a big fan of KA, but it seems all her alpha males are short on vocabulary. Bounty is a beautiful love story but I just think it was a hundred pages too long.

Wonderful story! Kristen Ashley always pulls me in, making me ignore everything around me. This was no different. Another solid read! Deke and Justice’s story was so good but I just have to say, I absolute loved Deke. So sweet, protective, strong, loving, and caring. This man was amazing! I really liked the story of him and Justice coming together, the tension and chemistry, feelings developing and emerging. I was into it all. The front half had a slow burn and build but once that heat gets turned up, wow! Hot! There were lots of layers and twists and turns happening. I liked Justice too and her whole theme of “bounty” that was happening. It was heartfelt and full of so much love. It just made me feel full! I really enjoyed all the connections and relationships that came in to play and how people from other stories were connected into this one. It’s fun to see. I thought the story was really well written and had a decent pace but it felt drawn out in a few places to me, I was ready for some drama, for something to happen. I also thought one of the side stories wrapped up too easily even though there was decent closure, it just was kind of done. Here’s the thing though, I could not put this story down. I kept right on reading, absorbing all these great details because I wanted to know everything and I was rooting for these fantastic characters. So even though a few things felt off to me, it was still an awesome read! Kristen Ashley will forever be a favorite of mine. There is so much detail and depth in all her stories, she’s a go-to author for sure. This series is a definite must read!

I love AK books, I just wish this one had a little bit more of her drama that I love. Got a little bored at one point. Deke is one of my favorite characters, I expected more for his story. Justice was perfect for him. Looking forward to Maggie & Woods story

It keeps you up all night , makes you jittery till you finish it, takes your emotions everywhere - from sad where there aren't enough tissues in the box ,to laughing so hard your husband thinks you've lost your mind! Also KA can wright a sex scene like no other, talk about needing extra tissues. WHEW! She also knows how to write well rounded characters that keep you engaged in the story and when she revisits those characters its like icing on the cake! Thanks KA its always a joy to spend time with the guys

3.5 Stars Reviewed by Suzanne and posted at Under The Covers Book Blog Do we really need a blurb? I have a standard structure when I write a review and the first paragraph is always a quick non-spoilery blurb. However, I figure we are on book 7 of the Colorado Mountain series now and this is Kristen Ashley, most people have either; tried and loved her and now read everything she writes (yep, that’s me!) or tried and decided she is not the author for them (I call these people ‘the crazies’). After all Ashley has a certain style of writing that isn’t for everyone, it’s slightly dramatic, definitely unrealistic and far too emotional for a stiff upperlipped Englishwoman like myself, and yet I lap this stuff up. On to the book itself, I love this series, Ashley’s Colorado Mountain series is my favourite – closely followed by her The ‘Burg – these rugged mountain men sure know how to do some wooing. Deke is no different, once he knows Justice is his woman, she had no chance of withstanding his rough and tumble charm. And why would she want to withstand it? He’s sexy as hell, gives orgasms out like sweets and he knows how to hang some shelves, he ticks all the important boxes. Bounty pretty much follows the normal schedule of events for an Ashley book, so if you are looking for something different, then keep looking. However, if you are after a sexy, alpha hero and a feisty rock star (yep she’s a rock star!) heroine setting the sheets on fire whilst also having a pretty adorable romance then you need to pick Bounty up. I also loved seeing the characters from the previous books pop in and out of this book, Krystal, the bad-tempered-with-a-heart-of-gold bar owner, in particular, she never had her own book, so I am glad we go to know her a little better in this one. Although this isn’t my favourite in the series, Sweet Dreams still holds my number one position (and number one Kristen Ashley book in general) but this was a good addition to the series and as always I can’t wait to see what she brings out next!

I am a chicklet and if you have never read her books. Just pick up one you will be hooked. This single lady found her fanasty man in this book. Deke is such a simple man of few words, but when he speaks you feel them. Justice is that crazy loveable woman that won't be blown off. Read this and watch the fieworks bring you a good show.

“I couldn’t put my finger on it even as his laughter died down and he was just smiling at his friend, which was not as good, but it definitely didn’t suck. He wasn’t even gorgeous, not in a handsome way. He was too rough, but it wasn’t that either. His features were not classic or rugged or striking. Yet he was not the guy next door. He was also far from average. It was just that you’d look twice, absolutely.” In a biker bar located in Wyoming, Justice Lonesome is out partying with her friends. Becoming weary at the scene of booze, dancing, and party, she makes her way outside to sit in the quiet. Once there, she notices a man. Not a handsome man by most standards, but he demands her attention. He doesn’t notice her, so she makes her way over to a small table and pulls out her notebook. Shortly after, she hears a voice near her ear. “Pretty woman like you shouldn’t be suckin’ the dregs of a drink.” Frozen, Justice sees the man who had captured her thoughts from moments ago. Offering her a drink, she’s surprised he’s there. I mean, she’s sitting in a dark corner, writing, and he didn’t even bat an eye as she passed him. Being who she is, she wonders out loud at how he even managed to spot her. “Caught you walkin’ to that table. Vision a’ that might just be burned into my brain.” And so begins a beautiful love story … Until he stands her up. And she writes a hit song about their encounter. Oh, and she gets a little famous. Seven years later, Justice finds herself looking for peace. She heads out to Colorado, to an unfinished house that captures her soul. Here, she is welcomed into the town of Carnal by many of the gang living there, surprisingly even Krys. Being as the house is unfinished, and Max’s schedule being packed, he finds her someone to work on the house in the interim. That someone being the same someone she met in a bar seven years ago … “Seven years, ten minutes, and I knew him at a glance. Seven years, ten minutes, I was right then drawn to him so deeply, it was taking my physical effort to stop my body swaying his way, my feet from moving to him.” Deke. But what kills is he has NO idea who she is. Their story doesn’t have a lot of drama in the relationship department. It’s more of a slow-burning, rediscovering relationship. Each of them felt that pull in the biker bar seven years ago, but both also had some major life tragedies go down in between. This leaves each of them facing demons from the past and struggling with how to handle not only the obvious attraction, but the many differences between the both of them. I love that the community of Carnal is immediately drawn into the fray offering advice, taking sides, and butting in. This community is my favorite from KA’s series because of their wit, deep loyalty, and who can resist Dominic at the Carnal Spa? No sooner than Justice steps into Bubba’s for a celebratory, post-home closing drink, she has an extension of family. She works her way into their hearts by being honest, clever, and genuinely funny. This entire story is one of beauty. To truly appreciate life and the gifts it gives you … this is something most of us often forget to do. Throughout the entire novel, we are faced with being accountable for giving thanks for the bounty to be found in life. “I was grateful for thermostats and a new deck and creamy foam in my walls. I was grateful for Jim-Billy. I was grateful for fate setting my feet on that sidewalk so I could be there for a woman I barely knew, but she
