I truly believe that College Prowler saved me from making the wrong decision with school and showed me the institution that was best for me. I recommend College Prowler off the record to all of my friends and anybody else that I know who is looking into colleges. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. The College Prowler Guide to Bowdoin College could not better portray what a small selective New England liberal arts college has to offer. It shows an amazingly non-biased view to everything (whether academics, sports, nightlife, girls/guy, hook-up scene, transportation, safety, technology, facilities, and much more) that one might experience while visiting or attending the school. The writer of the book talks about everything in a personable way as to not sound too 'guide-bookish,' but rather like an 'un-censored' tour guide you'd meet on your campus visit. This guide is perfect for any student who isn't sure they want to visit or apply. It wets your tongue to why the Polar Bear is the best mascot in the NESCAC, just how good college food can be, how a small college can rival those of bigger stature, and show you why there is an over 55% alumni giving rate. Bowdoin attracts a student that is passionate about their classwork, their extra-curricular activities, the sport they may play, and whatever else they do. This book takes the guidebook phenomena of The Princeton Review, Fiske, and Barron to a whole new level with over 160-pages of indepth information that no college would approve and no business would spend the money to do. This book infuses together a wide sampling of student input, a thorough enjoyable editorial, just fact sections, and an overall grade for over 20+ sections. After taking the time to read this book, I could not imagine a better place to spend four years of my life. What this school lacks in warm weather, it makes up in it's unbelievably friendly and approachable student body, staff, and faculty. NOWHERE ELSE measures up. Bowdoin is my Kansas. There is no nowhere like Bowdoin for me. Of all the resources out there, no other source will give you such an in-depth look to so many schools. What you might get from many books considered to be like CP, you can get the same information and tons more if you get just 1 College Prowler Book. Was this review helpful?
