Gertrude Chandler Warner, a teacher, wrote bookss that were both easy and fun to read. Gertrude Chandler Warner was a lifelong resident of Putman, Connecticut, until her death in 1979 at the age of 89.

    The Boxcar Children is a story that will stay with the reader for years!

    I read this book as a child - only the first in the series - but it has been a favorite book for 40 years plus now! It delightfully engages the reader's imagination and holds you captive till the outcome. It was a must read for my children and they equally loved it. We highly recommend it.

    classic

    this is a classic and still one of my most favorite kids books i have ever read. i have never read the rest of the series. if you have never read this one, you should. it is a great story!

    Dear reader, If you are asking yourself " should I really buy this book?", don't hesitate... buy it! It has excitement, adventure, and it's original. But, it is a pretty, short book. But it is very cheap too. What is it... 4 bucks? You make the decision yourself but I recommend you read it A NOTE FROM ME: Be you! Express YOUR inner character and find ways You can change the world! P.S. If you like my reviews( which have special "feel good" quotes) go to Nancy Drew books. I write reviews there.

    They should make these books into a MOVIE!!

    I remember my sister and I reading these books when we were younger... I loved the adventure in it. I hope they make these books into a movie!! I would be thrilled to see this on the big screen!!

    Aweome book... one of my favorites

    Anyone who wants a good read should try this. Is not too expensive or to long, would recommend age 7-10/11 maybe. It's hard to keep track of all the books though, there are so many. Hope this helps!

    Always good!

    I still love the boxcar children and will never forget what they mean to me. A must read for any young child, don't doubt this quartet of children and teir dog, they are alwats ready for adventure! -Teenreviews

    The best mystery book The best mystery series ever.

    You should really read this book. It shows a lot of detail surprises. It may seem like its not but it really is a fantastic book.
