Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
All boxing aficionados will welcome this well-written and informative book by a pair of boxing enthusiasts. Concise biographical information and fight records on more than 180 boxers and their "supporting casts" in the Hall of Fame are presented in four sections: pioneers, old-timers, fighters of the modern era, and noncombatants. The authors provide useful and informative sections on boxing's governing bodies and the International Boxing Hall of Fame and elsewhere take an unblinking look at "Fixes and Fallen Heroes: The Seamy Side of Boxing." Nice illustrations add a dash to this fine reference. Highly recommended for public libraries.Ron Chepesiuk, Winthrop Univ. Lib., Rock Hill, S.C.
