Boys on the Side is a collection of mainstream '90s rock dominated by female artists, which is appropriate for the feminist nature of the film. Not all of the music is first-rate, but much of it is, particularly Bonnie Raitt's cover of Roy Orbison's "You Got It." Fans of the film will find much to enjoy

Overview

Boys on the Side is a collection of mainstream '90s rock dominated by female artists, which is appropriate for the feminist nature of the film. Not all of the music is first-rate, but much of it is, particularly Bonnie Raitt's cover of Roy Orbison's "You Got It." Fans of the film will find much to enjoy here, but the record doesn't quite hold together as an individual entity.

For some reason~Mr.Thomas Erlewine "gets under my skin". This film, which have viewed 3 Times, show the Best And Worst in People. Leave out the Gender Politics and "Lables" of Humans. This Is a Great CD.Music entwines with a Truth that at the End of Any Day, Love Prevails. These are the Memories to Take, Share, Write Down.Whether a mish~mash of Music, just See the film and then decide. Did the music "move" with the film? Yes it did. Was Whoopi Goldberg a Contender for an Award? Yes. We need the balance of a critique from Someone that listens for the Passion of the Music. Hope B&N makes a combo of CD/DVD to understand One Person's Views. Mr.Thomas Erlewine never ruefull of You. Just a different Review that tries to speak Personal Truths instead of pushing People away from what They just may Enjoy.Give a Chance.
