Meet the Author

Michelle Gay is a Certified Movement Analyst, and Registered Somatic Educator and Therapist. She has been combining this specialized knowledge to teach martial arts to children and adults of all ages and movement abilities for more than 10 years in both public and private school settings, her own martial arts school in NYC and, most recently, as a full-time movement and theatre teacher (Rhythms) for pre-school – 8th grade at The City & Country School in Manhattan. She is the founder and director of the Society for Martial Arts Instruction, a not-for-profit facility with a mission to empower people through the knowledge and practice of martial arts and related movement practices.
